Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation Collaborates with Society of Voice Arts and Sciences to Provide New Content for That’s Voiceover™ Career Expo
SPJA to bring a brand-new perspective with a panel showcasing the unique skills and acting craft required to work a voice actor in anime dubbing.
Santa Ana, CA (August 9, 2018) – Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), the nonprofit responsible for Anime Expo, announced today that it will be collaborating with Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS) to expand the program offerings of That’s Voiceover!™ Career Expo with an interactive recording session experience using audience members and a segment from an actual anime series. SPJA will work with a voice recording studio to provide an in-depth and hands-on experience introducing the language dubbing process to this year’s That’s Voiceover!™ Career Expo.
That’s Voiceover! is an annual career expo that brings together key agents of the voiceover industry with voiceover newcomers and working professionals to engage in networking, training, and education. Since its inception in 2008, That’s Voiceover!™ Career Expo has covered a variety of topics within the voiceover industry such as radio, promos, audiobooks, video games, and animated TV/movies.
